Our beloved companion, Nike, was diagnosed with bone cancer and on Friday, July 19, 2008 we had to make the difficult decision; allowing Nike peace with no more pain and suffering. Michael called to make the arrangements and we spent several hours with him, allowing him to have all of his favorite treats like hamburger, ice cream and watermelon. The veterinarian came to the house as we were not comfortable taking Nike to the clinic where he would be stressed. (This was the second hardest thing I have had to do in my life; but I would not have done it any other way.) To all of you who knew Nike we share our sad news.
